What better
way to provide the
backdrop for a western than a genuine Texas ranch? The
CF Ranch has played home to countless films, television
commercials and print work over the years. CF Ranch has
two very distinct permanent sets on its property, the Mission and Western Town. These sets
combined with spectacular topography provides a unique
filming location.
The architecture and
design of the Mission was to allow film makers to
capture a true perspective of life during this period
through the beautiful landscape and uninterrupted views.
The interior of the second level living quarters are
finished with hardwood floors, fireplace and arched
walkways. This impressive structure
has been featured in films,
television movies, music videos and magazine print work.
The Western Town was
originally built to represent the 1840's Capital of
Austin, Texas and perfectly lends itself to the early
1800's to turn of the century. Twelve separate
structures make up the Western Town including the
General Store, Hotel, Saloon, Stables, Church,
fiberglass stone buildings, and log cabins.
Having been part of
the film and television industry for over a decade, the
staff at CF Ranch is incredibly well equipped and versed
on the practices of the industry. In addition, they
offer catering support through the following; designated
areas for craft service, barbeques, picnic tables,
chairs, bathrooms and running water. Care and feeding of
livestock and private helicopter & helipad on
premises are just some other services available for
film, television and print media.
Some of their film and
television credits include: "The Good Old
Boys", "Streets of Laredo", "Dead
Man's Walk", "Rough Riders",
"Dancer, TX Pop. 81", "Grand
Champion", "Texas: The Big Picture", a
Brooks & Dunn Video, a Chevy Truck Commercial and a
Texas Tourism Video.
